Since 1968, CAM is a leading precision engineering company. Based in Imola, we specialise in subcontract precision machining, offering comprehensive solutions from consulting to the production of precision machined parts. With a history of continuous innovation and expertise handed down through the generations, we supply precision machined components to the most demanding sectors.
Our production capacity is based on technologically advanced divisions that work in synergy to guarantee excellence. From the Design and Engineering department, where optimal machining processes are defined, to the temperature-controlled Metrology Room for testing, each department is equipped with state-of-the-art machine tools. By fully controlling all production processes we can manage orders that require maximum accuracy and precise deadlines.
We are the ideal partner for the manufacturing of high added value parts for various sectors such as Motorsport – Formula 1 and MotoGP –, Automation, Maritime industry and Food Industry. Our specialisation covers the entire manufacturing cycle, from design and simulation to high-precision machining for the production of finished parts with tight tolerance requirements.
Every day we perform complex precision milling on continuous machining centres with up to 5 axes, which are ideal for tough materials such as titanium and superalloys. Precision turning is done by using CNC lathes for the production of complex cylindrical parts. Every step in the process is monitored: from the removal of excess material to final testing. Our CNC machining services are designed to meet the needs of each project, always guaranteeing high quality and reliability.
Processes and certified quality
Our excellence stems from a combination of technology, experience and rigorous control. Our extensive machinery includes cutting-edge machining centres and grinding machines connected by optical fibre to CAD/CAM systems. Thus project-related data can be transferred flawlessly to the machine. CNC milling and CNC turning are just the beginning: we also specialise in precision grinding that has a major impact on every part’s surface finish and final tolerance.
By combining computer numerical control (CNC) and optical scales we can achieve high-precision engineering also for critical components. Every part, from composite moulds to gearboxes, can be manufactured to the most stringent specifications. Our expertise in grinding and machining makes us specialists in final surface treatment, which is key to the functionality and durability of parts, particularly in high-stress environments.

We manufacture complex moulds for thermoforming and composite materials (for racing applications), titanium billet parts and complete automated machines.
